A Cinematic Tribute to Legacy, Speed, and the Human Drive Behind Formula 1.
STLL Studios and House Of Edits present the narrative short about Formula 1, family and the legacy that lies within them.
In a world captivated by the spectacle of Formula 1, where precision, speed, and performance dominate the global stage, FORZA, the latest short film produced by STLL STUDIOS, takes a different approach. Instead of focusing on the roar of engines or the glory of podium finishes, the film looks inward, exploring the emotional engine that drives every racer before they ever touch the track.
A Story Fuelled by Legacy
Meaning “strength” in Italian, FORZA is a story rooted in legacy. It follows Luca (20), a young race car driver standing on the edge of a defining Formula 1 lap trial. Overcome by self-doubt, Luca reflects on the memory of his grandfather—a former race driver who first introduced him to the world of automobiles. Through quiet moments spent restoring old cars in a garage, a passion was born—one that now faces its ultimate test.
While Formula 1 often represents the pinnacle of engineering and competition, FORZA reframes the narrative. It asks a more intimate question: What truly drives someone to push beyond their limits?
The film answers this not through spectacle, but through memory.
Creative Vision
“As filmmakers, we’re drawn to what’s beneath the surface,” says the team at STLL STUDIOS. “Formula 1 is one of the most visually dynamic sports in the world—but what interested us was the emotional foundation behind it. The pressure, the doubt, the legacy. The quiet moments that define a driver long before the lights go out.”
This perspective aligns with a broader shift in branded and narrative storytelling—where audiences are no longer just watching for action, but for meaning. By anchoring the story in a deeply personal relationship between Luca and his grandfather, FORZA bridges the gap between high-performance sport and universal human experience.
A Strategic Run
Visually, the film blends grounded, intimate cinematography with the scale and tension associated with racing. The contrast between the stillness of memory and the intensity of the track creates a layered narrative, one that builds not just toward a lap, but toward a moment of emotional clarity.
At its conclusion, FORZA delivers a powerful image: Luca, having found his strength, encounters his grandfather once more, approaching the track with a small toy car from their past. It is a quiet, symbolic gesture that transcends time, culminating in an embrace that represents more than victory. It represents continuity, love, and the enduring force of inspiration passed down through generations.
Produced by STLL STUDIOS in partnership with House of Edits, and directed by Adán Langbaum with cinematography by David Wells, FORZA stands as a testament to the kind of storytelling the company is committed to building—work that merges cinematic scale with emotional authenticity.
